WMB Childcare curriculum is designed to ensure that children leave us as effective communicators, who are confident, independent, fully prepared and ready for big school adventures
Baby Room

Nursery Focus – To Support Children To See The Wonderful World In Which They Live In – Awe And Wonder
- React in interactions (reacting to sounds, own name).

- Use all their senses in hands-on exploration of natural materials.
- Manipulate materials by using fine motor skills (reaching, grasping, grabbing toys, moving and placing objects, turning pages in a book, filling/emptying containers, fitting jigsaws).
- Move and explore the outdoors, enhancing their gross motor skills (crawling, walking, climbing, running).
Toddler Room
To communicate using more words, building social skills and improved focus and attention.

- Begin to use large and small motor skills e.g buttons, zips, drinks.
- Begin to use toilet with help, then independently.
- Begin to choose different materials and tools.

- Begin to develop friendships with others.

Preschool Room

- Eat independently and learning how to use a knife and fork.
- Continue to develop their movement balancing, skipping, hopping, standing on one leg.
- Match their developing physical skills to tasks and activities in the setting.
- Use one-handed tools and equipment (scissors).
- Be increasingly independent as they get dressed, using toilet, brushing teeth and drying hands).
- Choose the right resources to carry out their own plan.
- Make healthy choices about food, drink, activity and toothbrushing.

- Understand that there are some people who help us/ expressing interest in career choices.
- Understand and describe their position in nursery/ family.

- Understand that they are different materials: being able to notice similarities and differences (size, shapes, colours).
