Fees & Funding

Fees, Funding & Charges

At WMB Childcare, we are committed to being open and transparent about our fees and how government-funded childcare works. Government funding contributes towards the cost of early education but does not cover all aspects of childcare delivery.

The information below explains what is funded, how funding is applied, and what additional charges may apply.

Our Fees (Pricing Information)

WMB Childcare operates a published fee structure, which applies to all families unless funded hours are in place.

Standard (Non-Funded) Fees

Fees are charged based on the number of days and sessions attended.

Current standard fees include:
✔️ Full Day (7:30am–6:00pm): from £72.05 per day
✔️ Half Day: from £45.65 per session
✔️ Full Week: from £329 per week

Please note: Fees may vary depending on age group, room type, and session pattern.

Funded Sessions

Where funded hours are applied, parents will be charged the following, where applicable:

✔️ Any hours attended outside the funded entitlement
✔️ Meals, snacks, and consumables, as outlined below

All funded and non-funded charges are clearly itemised on invoices.

What Is Early Years Funded Childcare?

Early Years Funding is available for children aged 9 months to 4 years, depending on family circumstances.

15 Hours – Universal Entitlement

Some 2-year-olds may be eligible for funded childcare if:

✔️ The child is looked after by the local authority

Eligibility is confirmed through the Local Authority.

30 Hours – Working Parent Entitlement

Children aged 9 months to 4 years may be eligible if:

✔️ Both parents (or one in a single-parent household) earn at least £183 per week
✔️ Neither parent earns more than £100,000 per year
✔️ Residency and immigration requirements are met

Funding is provided for 38 weeks per year (1,140 hours annually).

How WMB Childcare Applies Funded Hours

✔️ Funding is delivered during school term only (38 weeks)
✔️ Funded hours are not stretched across the year
✔️ Funding does not apply during school holidays or nursery closure periods

Any sessions attended outside funded weeks are charged at the standard private rate.

Funded Hours Access

✔️ Minimum per day (15-hour entitlement only): 7.5 funded hours, subject to availability
✔️ Maximum per day: 10 funded hours

Usage Rules

✔️ 15 funded hours: may be used over 2 days (maximum 10 hours per day)
✔️ 30 funded hours: may be used over 3 days (maximum 10 hours per day)

All funded attendance patterns must be agreed in advance and cannot be changed mid-term.

Additional Charges (Not Covered by Funding)

Government-funded childcare covers early education hours only. It does not include meals, snacks, or consumables required to deliver high-quality childcare.

Meals, Snacks & Consumables

At WMB Childcare, charges for meals, snacks, and consumables apply where funded hours are used.
Current charges include:

For 15 Funded Hours:
✔️ Lunch & snacks: £8.50
✔️ Snack contribution (all children): £4.00 per week

For 30 Funded Hours (3 full days):
✔️ Lunch & snacks: £37.50

Charges applied depend on the number of funded days attended and the session type.

Parents may choose alternative options, such as paying for nursery-provided meals and snacks or providing a packed lunch where permitted.

All meal, snack, and consumable charges are clearly itemised on invoices.

Payment of Lunch, Snacks & Consumables

Full lunch, snack, and consumable fees are payable at the start of each term:

Meal and consumable fees are non-refundable once the term has started.

Invoicing, Payments & Absences

✔️ Invoices are issued in advance
✔️ Fees remain payable for all contracted sessions, including absences due to illness or holidays
✔️ Funded hours cannot be transferred, refunded, or replaced
